Online Magazine Cove published a list of the world's top vocalist based on "the artist's vocal abilities, vocal ranges and harmony". The list is put together, with the combination of the artist's acapella and live performances, to give the total score (+50). Christina Aguilera tops the list with a perfect 50 points. Mariah Carey and Michael Jackson round of the top 3. Other entries include Beyonce Knowles at 7, Clay Aiken at 15, Kelly Clarkson at 21, and Britney Spears at 72.

Britney?? Really????? That is so stupid, SHE CANNOT SING TO EVEN SAVE HER OWN LIFE!!! Ashanti.......oh my god........Backstreet Boys and N*Sync....I liked them when I was younger, but they're not really "all-that" with singing. And what about Elvis and Aretha?!?! Pink can actually sing and so can Alicia. Alicia should be at least number 4 or 3. They should have done a poll with US, cause this list is crap.

I kinda agree with wronglist, Mariah has an amazing voice and honestly she should be #1. Christina, to me, does have such a very powerful voice, and sure she can sing, but she can sometimes over power a song. Christina can be at number 2. I'm not hating fyi, I love both Christina and Mariah, but i'll admit Christina's voice is strong.

Who did they poll for this? 16 year old girls or the musically inept crowd.? was it restricted to singers of the past 15-20 years only? #1 Christina Aguilera, #9 Avril Lavigne and #13 Enrique Iglesias, LOL. I know that popularity has become too often equated with greatness but come on, is this some kind of April Fools joke? X-Tina is one of the biggest "over singer" of all time. she never met a melody that could not be butchered, embelllished, and vibratoed to death. Vocal gymnastics alone does not a great singer make. Tone, control, range, phrasing, soulfulness, ability to convey the lyric, dynamics, and most of all knowing when to show restraint, is what makes a great singer. Sometimes less is more. The truly great singers know that the spaces between the notes is more important than vocal acrobatics. Giving the song room to breathe. X-Tina is queen with with the growing ADD crowd that needs constant stimulation, or else boredom sets in. Lastly, any list of 100 Outstanding singers that does not include Aretha Franklin is not be taken seriously.

Top 3 reason's this list is dumb 1.Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, and N'Snyc suck so bad they shouldn't even be called music they don't write their own songs of have anyone who knows what their doing write them for them. 2.Last I checked, Garth Borrks was country, Paul McCarthy was one of the first ever rock musicians, and both Toni Braxton and Usher were R & B. 3.Christina Aguilera over Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey REALLY? Christina Aguilera doesn't write here own songs or have anyone who knows what the hell their doing write them for her. And at least Mariah and Michael know how to sing the national anthem. Next time make A REAL list of pop musicians with no posers like Christina Aguilera and Backstreet Boys in it.
