What's Your New Year's Beauty Resolution?

Besides the litany of diet and money-saving promises we all make ourselves in the New Year, many of us also make beauty resolutions. For instance, in 2011 I'm resolving to stop biting my nails (again), take better care of my skin, and keep wearing sunblock every day. Will you be making any beauty commitments to start the New Year off right? Use the makeup I OWN and stop buying anything new. I seriously have everything in every color (I made up for some serious lost time in the last year) - I do not NEED a thing! :-)

I am also stealing Spacecadet62's res to drink more water and much less diet soda, as well as using lipcolors more because I buy them ALL the time!

I'd love to stop splitting (and ultimately gnawing the thinned nail after the split) my fingernails. Any suggestions? I don't want to grow majorly long nails, just keep them moderately healthy and not split them as soon as they get long.

I had no idea we had so many secret nail nibblers. Have any of you tried that flavored polish? It's supposed to taste awful, which in turn is supposed to keep you from biting.

Drink more water. Wear lipstick more since I have a lot. Try and stop biting my nails. If I have polish on them even clear I won't bite, but as soon as it chips a little or starts to peel of I nibble.

My List: 1. Take better care of my skin. 2. Actually work out regularly, as opposed to when I feel like it. 3. Do not succumb to getting my hair chopped off (again) just because it's taking too long to grow. 4. Have more confidence. (While not a physical attribute, confidence can make or break a woman's beauty)

I have sooo many! 1. Use my skincare products regularly 2. Always wash my face before bed, or at least use a makeup removed pad! 3. Drink more water, less diet soda. 4. Work out

1. Use up all my products before buying anymore (seriously... I have an entire closet full). 2. Become religious with the SPF, and especially to pay attention to the backs of my hands and my decolletage. 3. Start using an eye cream. 4. Take better care of my skin, in the AM and PM.

Anon 19, I am in the same boat as you! Wear lipstick more, buy it less. I also would like to add myself to the sunscreen category. I'm pretty good at using it, but I need to be a little better. Sometimes I get lax about it during the colder, cloudier months. I would also like to grow my hair out. That's a huge challenge for me, I'm a short hair junkie.

Organize my makeup, actually throw out old expired stuff. Also take better care of my skin and play/experiment more. I have my safe looks that I want to really branch out from!

1.Drink more water, less soda. 2.Seriously, clean those brushes every week! Sometimes, I skip a week. 3. Mustn't touch the zits. It's very tempting, but I need to put down the zit extractor. I can't help y'all much with the biting. I stopped because I got headgear. Not neckgear (the kind of headgear that attaches at the neck), but actual headgear that turns your hair into a bird's nest. You seriously cannot bite your nails when you got that on for 12 hours a day. I tried very hard, trust me. I gave up after four months. I kept the non-biting habit afterward by chewing gum. I bit because my mouth needed something to do; chewing gum keeps my mouth occupied. I also keep my fingernails meticulously polished. I don't like biting pretty nails!

Drink more water & get at least 8 hours of sleep...two really simple, inexpensive, & effective solutions!

To use products that are good for me , even if they are a bit costly. I never knew that a more expensive eye cream would do wonders!

My friend quit nail biting by carrying a little packet of mints and eating one of those every time she had the urge n_n buy some really pretty nail polish and think how much nicer it'll look on long luscious nails :D My beauty resolution is to wear minimal foundation .
