My 6 year old German shepherd nose has become very dry and is all cracked  he is in good health otherwise does anyone know why it would be cracked?

Bag Balm. http://www.bagbalm.com/ My St. Bernard has issues with this and her breeder rec'd this. I rub it on twice a day until the cracks heal. Also, make certain that your pup is getting plenty of water.
