Atlanta Housewife Lisa Wu Hartwell Once Married to R&B Crooner Keith Sweat??

Anyone remember R&B singer Keith Sweat? He had several major hits in the 80s and 90s including, "Make It Last Forever" in 1987 and "I'll Give All My Love to You" in 1990. Well a few minutes ago, one of my friends passed along this little tidbit that Sweat and Lisa from the most recent 'Housewives' edition were once married.

According to a blog site that I read, he refused to sign a waiver that would allow her to let their two kids appear on the show. It looks like he was worried about the way the show would edit her life saying it would make her look "crazy."

Lisa seems one of the most "normal" of the bunch, so why would he think they would make her look bad? There's obviously a little more to her story than we know. I guess we'll have to continue to watch.

Hey, sometimes people just grow apart. Lisa and Keith have two children together as well. Keith Sweat has custody of the two older children. Kim, is an interesting person. I would like to know more. She had to file bankruptcy in 2007. That's a big "Screw you" to your creditors.

I like Lisa so far so I'll give her the benny of doubt -- but man she went from one rich man to the next -- where do I sign up :P I wonder what these women give up (besides sex) to be with these men. ------------------------------------------------- I'm sooo happy we finally have grown-ups in office! Maybe he knew most of the housewives from other seasons have come across as crazy. She's so gorgeous! The first episode I thought she might be stuck up, but by now I really like her.

It is a shame that Keith won't let their children be on the show. They are a part of her and should be a part of her life as it is now. The children are missing out on a great opportunity, all becauase Ex-hubby can't compete.

Interesting - I wonder was this the bad marriage. I think she seems more grounded and she actually has a job and works hard. I was wondering if she had other kids. Interesting. Can any policy,however high minded, be moral if it leads to widespread corruption,imprisons so many,has so racist an effect,destroys our inner cities,wreaks havoc on misguided & vulnerable individuals and brings death and destruction to foreign countries?

Oooh, that's interesting!! I love me some Keith Sweat, and you guys are right, Lisa is very pretty. But she also seems very sane and grounded, and I too wonder why her ex-even he is awesome-would be so weird about it.

Yeah - I thought so too. I'm not sure how many times she has been married, but she always refers to her previous marriage as being a bad one.
