Normally Bobbie writes the posts that are published on Bobbie’s Baking Blog, however, today I am going to be writing a post. As long as I can remember I have been in the kitchen with my mom, we have had so much fun learning to create new treats for the special people in our lives. As my life transitioned from teenager to adulthood I have had the opportunity to share my feelings with my mom, and even when I thought I couldn’t overcome an issue that was happening in my life my mom was there to help me and encourage me. I am very close to my mom, I count her as one of my friends, and she also thinks of me as one of her close friends. I can share anything with her and she won’t judge me or put me down, she will just listen, and in turn I try to listen to her when she is telling me about events that are occurring in her life. She has taught me everything she knows about cooking, baking, and life. When we are in the kitchen we will spend hours gossiping and giving advice to each other, I think that being this close to my mom as taught me life values that I will carry throughout my life.
Bonding with your child/children is important, in my opinion,  it not only gives the parent(s) a chance to have a relationship with their child/children but gives the child a chance to develop a friendship and talk to their parent(s) about the events that are happening in their lives. I can honestly say my friendship with my mom as helped me become the woman I am today.
