Blondeyy's Savory EASY Applesauce
It's that time of year! Apples, pumpkins, and it's time to start thinking about your Thanksgiving menu!
This applesauce recipe has been handed down generation to generation in my family!
It is so EXTREMELY easy and so ABSOLUTELY delicious - I had to share it with all of you...........
4-5 apples - peel/core/chop into approx 1/2" cubes
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon or less - depending on how much you like cinnamon!
3/4 cups water
In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar apples and cinnamon.
Cover. Cook over medium heat for approx 18 to 20 minutes - until apples are soft.
Let cool. Mash/smash with either a fork or potato masher.
If serving individually, put in pretty custard cups with a cinnamon stick.
If serving homestyle on the table - pour applesauce into pretty serving bowl, garnish with two cinnamon sticks crossed and throw a pinch of nutmeg atop in the center..
