Cheddar Cheese Beer Bread
Gooey cheese in every inch. :D
3 cups all-purpose flour
4 oz grated cheddar cheese (sharp preferably)
4 oz cubed cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 12oz bottle of beer (a mild lager)
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1. Adjust oven rack to middle position and preheat to 375 degrees. Grease a loaf pan (9 x 5)
2. Stir all ingredients (minus the butter) together, beer being last. Pour batter into pan, even out to the sides. Pour melted butter over top.
3. Bake until a few crumbs come out on a toothpick. About 45-50mins. Let cool in pan for 10mins then serve.
