Cheesy n' Tasty Savory Crackers
I love savory crackers.
There's just somethin' about those salty, punchy, mouth watering flavors and that crunchiness that take me away!
They taste like the savory crackers you buy at the store, but with the BIG difference of them being FRESH and crisp, right out of the oven.
There are many flavors you can combine with crackers, here I used onion, chili peppers and cheese. Don't worry, the chili DOESN'T MAKE THEM SPICY, I removed all of the seeds.
I found this combo very tasty and tangy!

Ingredients
1/2 cup oil
1 whole egg
1 onion*
2 chili peppers (remove the seeds to not make it spicy)*
2 tbsp margarine/butter
1 tsp ground white pepper (the one you use for cooking)
pinch of salt
1 cup parmesan cheese or pecorino
3 cups flour (sifted)
1 tsp baking powder
*You can use other flavors like: sour cream and chives, paprika and cheese, oregano and thyme, honey and mustard, etc.
Directions
Preheat oven to 400ºF/200ºC
Mix everything in a food processor minus the flour and baking powder.
Once everything is mixed, dumb the mixture in a large bowl and add the flour and baking powder slowly.
Knead the dough with your hands for a couple of minutes (about 3 min.), just until the dough stops sticking to your hands.
Roll out the dough and cut out the shapes as desired (using small cookie cutters is good).
Place the crackers in a cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes.

The basic cracker recipe is from an old portuguese cookbook. The rest, from me!
