Co-Gym

I just enrolled my 5 year old daughter in a "cheer"nastics class. She dropped out of soccer during the first game ("I'm just going to sit down and watch you guys OK" and I was the coach! and she didn't play again the WHOLE season), she dropped out of ballet like the second class and let's just say we have difficulty holding her interest in general (she came downstairs half-way through her kindergarten admissions test [I know, I know OH THE HORROR, Admissions Test for Kindergarten! - Spare me your indignation] and said "it had too many pages and I didn't like it so I told them I wanted to see you). My husband and I are hoping against hope that this activity will give her some "stick to itness" that we obviously have been unable to provide her thus far. Anyway, yesterday as I saw parents sitting in cars outside the gym while others dropped their kids off and left (off to run some pressing errand I am sure), I thought, wouldn't it be AWESOME if they had some concurrent activities for the parents? or at least some treadmills or something? By the time I drop her off and travel somewhere else to work out or do just about anything, it will be time for me to pick her up. It would work better for me if there was some kind of worthwhile activitiy built in for me at the same location. Is that too much to ask?
Maybe I should have just enrolled her in the gymnastics classes at the Y...
