Cookies & Cream Fudge

I tried this recipe out last night on the family because I'm trying to find recipes for Christmas. :) We always bake a lot of treats, put them in gift bags with soaps, lotions, decks of cards, etc.., and give them to the people in nursing homes for Christmas since many of them are forgotten. :(

This was really easy and turned out great! It's so good, Jason is taking it into work today so I won't eat it all - lol

18 oz of white chocolate squares or white chocolate chips
1 can (15 oz I think) sweetened condensed milk
1/8 tsp salt
2 c chopped oreo cookies (crush them with your hands - perfect size)

In a saucepan, combine the chips (or broken up chocolate squares), the sweetened condensed milk, and the salt. Over low heat, melt, stirring frequently. Turn off heat. Add oreo cookies and gently mix.

Line an 8" pan with aluminum foil. Cool mixture in pan. Fold over the fudge onto cutting board when done, peel away the foil, and cut into squares. Store at room temp.

That's it...simple. It tastes similar to the Oreo filling. Yum.

That looks yummy. That is really nice of you to go to the nursing homes, that is a great idea. I know when my mom was in one for a while it was really sad and depressing to go visit her because all of the people seemed so lonely and neglected. :(

Around the holiday - we're usually in Louisiana the week of Christmas.

Meh, got flagged. They look like regular oreo cookies with red filling.

They look like this: I do need something green...maybe I'll tie the little fudge bag with a green ribbon? lol

This looks incredibly easy! What do the Christmas Oreos looks like? I'm either pretty sure I've never seen them or completely storked out on the cookie aisle while walking past them and never noticed them. Are they red and green or something?

:) I know they are appreciative of it. I feel bad for them, and I hope I'm never to where no one visits me on such important days. I plan on using the Christmas Oreos to give it a more festive look for them.
