Following with a sighting of Plesiosaurus(the ‘loch ness’) by African natives, a group of British scientists sets off to the destination of Congo Jungle that located somewhere in Eastern Africa for the exploration project of dinosaurs. However, their expedition takes a deadly turn when a herd of Pterosaurs (‘flying birds’) hits their plane and crashes deep into the wilderness of Congo. The lost survivors soon finds themselves trapped with 65 mils years of extinctions and also with some encounters of dangers…
For those who are constantly on the radar with all those groundbreaking momentums as in back early 90’s Jurassic Park will probably find themselves ‘lost’ in this African Jurassic Congo. The Dinosaur Project serves a little fall back concept with only the low definition visual effects footage captured with a portable digital camera (like one those kind of camera used in Paranormal Activity), lack of gory and suspense scenes. The script lines a little sloppy and amateur and also the casting is not likeable nor annoying.
However to be fair enough, all complaints aside CGI dinosaurs appear exceptionally real. This movie also mashes up with some creditable twist of evolutionary theories; i.e. on the late jurassic reptile, Plesiosaurus(the ‘loch ness’). However on top of all these, nothing compared to the MOST REMARKABLE one; that small, cute and lovable dino (a cross bred in between Lesothaurus- Dilophosaurus)adds up with a twist of plot in a good and memorable way.
The Dinosaur Project is generally one acceptable dino-flick but yet another distance from jaws dropping ride..
