When I lived in apartment buildings I stored my glasses upside down and cleaned the cabinet surfaces regularly. I have heard that keeps the roaches out of them. But now in my house, I alternate them to be able to get more in my cabinets. With narrow bases and wide tops if you alternate them you can get them closer to each other. Try it, you will see what I mean!
Right side UP, they are in a cupboard anyway so I don't expect a lit of dust and stuff since the doors are kept closed. I think it's gross when people put them upside DOWN because if you take them out of the washer and there is still a bit of water in them (which happens since I use the energy-friendly no power dry cycle) then the water turns to condenstaion when they are upside down since they can't dry out and they can get a funky smell when sitting that way. Plus if they are upside down the rim is sitting on the bottom of the cupboard and that is gross to me!
I put them upside down, In my mind i think it helps if there is the slightest bit of water on them (accidently in a rush) when they are put away it will dry off and not sit in the cup....
Do you put your drinking glasses right side up or upside down in the cupboard?
