In short.. bought a mascara duo (primer + mascara) and I'm sold on the primer. Between that and the new-found eyelash curler treatment I've become much happier with my lashes. I tried several different mascaras with the primer and have to add that it shows how much of a difference different brands/types of mascara looks. You'll be surprised by how different your mascara looks with primer on! Thanks again for posting on this!

Another thing for me to add to my routine (just as you said, Romaniagrl).. It is starting to take me Forever to get ready... I love it though! Thanks for posting this great info!

I like the Jane Iredale PureLash, but I think most might do the trick. I'd love to see some pics like these for other brands and hear what works and what doesn't!

Wow, I can definitely see a difference. It didn't even occur to me to use a lash primer, but now I think I might look into them! What brand are you using, Hooked?

I use the Clinique lash primer and it is awesome. It really make my lashes appear longer and fuller...

Wow, that is awesome. Thanks for this. I was wondering if it was just an extra step. I have never used it.

So many days my lashes end up looking like your right eye, and I have VERY long lashes, so it ends up so pronounced!! I thought it was just my hand to the wand. I will definitely use this. Thanks for sharing!! :)

I used the Jane Iredale PureLash, I wear it to bed too on clean lashes. I like it. I used to use clear mascara for years as a primer. I'm sure most brands of primer can do the same thing, I think it just gives the mascara something to hold on to. I just didn't think it was this noticeable. I didn't apply on my bottom lashes, never do. I don't like the raccoon look either.

I am intrigued! Every day I learn about a new product to add to my routine on BPJ. By the time I'm done here it'll take me 5 hours to put my makeup on. :D

Huh... I recall using lash primer aaaages ago, in middle school, but I haven't used it in years. Now that I think about it, I probably should, just because I hate the way I end up with teensy amounts of black stuff in the fine lines under my eyes... what brand have you used here?

HookedOnBeauty, what brand did you use? It worked great! I need this!

Lash primer.. huh.. didn't even know there was such a thing. My mascara tends to stay in place just fine.. i wonder if i even need it?

Lucky you, Jess! I always end up with raccoon eyes by the end of the day if I don't use a lash primer. I used to use clear mascara to get around that problem. Then, I just started carrying around makeup remover pads to remove the mascara under my eyes toward the end of the day. Now, I have lash primer! Much better solution.

The true test would be what your lashes look like after a 10 hour work day in the summer! ..if there's any "raccoon effect" undereye! I haven't bought lash primer in years, I sort of forgot about it.

Yeah I was confused a bit too but then I figured out you were doing a lash primer I've never had mascara under the eye no matter what brand I use :?
jennifer76 jennifer76 6 years 28 weeks
Lash primer, you mean? Definitely can see the difference in your lashes. It also makes a huge difference for me in terms of staying power. No lash primer = mascara under my eyes. Lash primer = mascara on my lashes. :D
