Fireplace Reveal

This is what my fireplace looked like when I moved into my new house 8 months ago.  We referred to it as the black hole!  I don't think a wall could get any uglier.  Honestly we wouldn't even turn the fireplace on this winter because it would just draw attention to the emptiness!

Well, I came up with a design and hired my go to guy to come over and this was the end result!

I really love how it turned out, it's a little bit elegant and a little bit edgy.  If you'd like to learn more about my fireplace redo, please feel free to stop by www.housetoyourhome.com.

The stone is a cast stone veneer, the stone in the front is real but it's split in half so it lays flat against the wall making installation easier! Hope this helps!

You ladies have such good eyes -- I missed the window seat but now am loving the "addition". I like the fireplace too -- is it real stone?

The window seats are such a great touch. So cozy and a great way to integrate more seating to a small room! What kind of stone was used here h2urHome?
