Getting rid of boring switch plate covers

Hello Everyone, I don`t know if you ever thought about why the switch plates that electricians install are so generic looking. I mean if you put nice art work on the walls, shouldn`t the plates tie in somehow and look attractive also? I love texture and rich colors, so I got to work, took down all those plates - that were`nt behind a major applicance, and replaced them all. What a difference. Here is one that I made for my living room. Keep posting your images, it`s helpful to see what others are doing to beautify their living spaces.
