Guilo Guilo : Japan in Paris
I went for the very first time of my life , a year ago to Guilo Guilo, a japanese restaurant in Paris. The space is small, but very well organised around a bar and there is space, every item displayed is beautiful, from the plates to sandstone japanese tea pot to the chopsticks holder, stylish. The bar " cooking area " is at the same eye level for the customer , they share an experience if they are gourmets and love to look. I went back this week, very excited by the prospect of this 8 dishes surprise menu, no one knows what the menu is going to be , it was, I admit quite an experience, trying for the first time totally unknown ingredients, the name didn't mean anything to me and I still doesn't. The Chef explains with great enthousiasm the dish when brought to our plate, what it is made of and how to eat it, it is not easy at first , it is a discovery, with the taste, texture, aspect and colors. Here are a few pictures of the restaurant and my dishes !
