Last week Buzzsugar asked for some of our Guilty Pleasure 80’s Bad Movies. That got me thinking about my Guilty Pleasure Movies, not necessarily from the 80’s, that I watch all the time. Most of these are not cinematic masterpieces, but I love them anyway.

Center Stage – great dancing…horrific acting

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - who can resist the 80’s dance montage?

Reign of Fire – yummy man candy

Get Over It – Gotta love Shakespeare themed high school movies Eye-wink

Labyrinth - Jim Henson, David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly = awesomeness

Newsies - great all boy musical in the Disney tradition

The American President - it's just so darn heartwarming

Wow, I had no idea Center Stage was so popular. I just read recently that the girl who played the lead, Amanda Schull, retired from her professional dancing career with the SFO Ballet Company and is now teaching.

Whip - good call on Empire Records. I don't know how I forgot that one. I LOVE that movie. Lucas is one of my all time favorite characters. "Who knows where thoughts come from, they just appear." HAHA!

Most of my guilty pleasure movies are the 80's movies I bookmarked for BuzzSugar. I love Just One Of The Guys, and I've probably seen it like 500 times (since it's on cable almost every freakin' DAY). I also love Overboard, Can't Buy Me Love, Better Off Dead, One Crazy Summer, and Teen Wolf. I also love Grease 2, which is a HORRIBLE movie but so much fun. Empire Records is a stinking turd, but I love it as well.

I love Labyrinth, and I don't think it should be regarded as a bad movie. But I guess if that's what the critics think, what can you do :-)
