Help - I need potluck ideas

I totally forgot that my department at work is having a potluck on Thursday.

I have no idea what to bring. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Here are the details:

1. There are about 30 people in my department so it has to feed that many people, but since 30 people are bringing stuff, I don't need 30 full servings of anything.

2. I'd rather not bring a dessert. I prefer savory to sweet.

3. We don't have an oven or stove at the office, just microwaves. So I'd need to bring something that is either cold or room temperature, can be easily heated in a microwave, or can be made in the crockpot.

Help! :please:

Here's the link When I buy crab meat, I usually get it at Trader Joe's (16 oz. can) of the best crab meat. When you buy crab meat, it will run anywhere between $11.00- 16.00 for a large can (16 oz)

Oooh, that sounds good! I was leaning towards Aud's hashbrown casserole but maybe I'll do crab dip instead.

I find that taco salads always go over well, but if you want something hot, I have had good luck with a slow cooker of chili too.

whip go to my profile page and under recipes you will see both recipes. the meatballs and hashbrown casserole. i pm'd you what i thought you could do to heat up the casserole. i also have the cheese ball recipe on my recipe page if you want to do something the night before and then not have to think about it heating anything up the next day. i am sure whatever you decide will be  worthy. :D

That looks pretty easy, maybe I'll do that. Or Yumsugar's sausage and potatoes. Or my friend's sausage and peppers recipe.

Aud's meatballs are AWESOME! ___________________________________ :breastcancer:

Yeah, Aud's recipe used frozen meatballs, and I forget the ingredients in the sauce exactly, but it was ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, onion and maybe one or two other things.
wynter wynter 6 years 48 weeks
yep, you use frozen ones. It's VERY easy!
WhatTheFrockBlog WhatTheFrockBlog 6 years 48 weeks
Can I use frozen meatballs, Wynter? :lazy: Maybe I'll make a few of these sandwiches and slice them nice and thin. And put frilly toothpicks in all the slices.
wynter wynter 6 years 48 weeks
err..on low, not high :) All of the suggestions sound yummy though. I haven't ate lunch yet, and now I'm hungry. :)

meatballs would be easy and good. A quick & easy crockpot recipe is a bag of meatballs, a small bottle of ketchup, a jar of chili sauce, and a jar grape jelly. Combine them and warm on high for 3-4 hours.
