I always workout at home. I'm sorry, but the treadmill is too boring for me (and I hurt my foot and it bothers me sometimes). I enjoy doing something really FUN :) Well, I need motivation at 5:15 a.m.! I've been trying to workout consistantly 6-7 days a week. Reason is that I sit at my job all day.
Right now I'm doing ChaLEAN Extreme and mix the cardio with Turbo Jam, Hip Hop Abs, Rockin' Body.
I love workout dvds! I also use the on demand feature to try different trainers from exerciseTV . I like Jillian, but I LOVE Jeanette Jenkins! She is really motivating, kick's you butt (in a good way) and she actually does the entire workout with you, unlike some (eh'em, Jillian...) Check her out, she's awesome.
I love workout DVDs! I also use the on demand feature to try out different trainers. My favorite is Jeanette Jenkins, she is amazing. I like Jillian but Jeanette is WONDERFUL. She is very motivating and she actually does the entire work out will you, unlike many others who stop to check on "form" (eh'em, jillian). Look her up, you won't be sorry.
Unfortunately when I use Fitness DVDs, I find myself getting bored (and cheating). I hate that I have to listen to the instructor explain every time a particular exercise or pose.
I use Leslie Sansone's Walk Away The Pounds series of DVDs. Love them because you can vary intensity and miles. Usually do them with wrist and leg weights.
I rotate with Jillian Michaels "30 Day Shred" when I'm in a hurry and Jari Love's "Ripped" when I have more time. They are both equally awesome and very hard work! I am looking for a challenging yoga or pilates one if anyone has any good suggestions...(thanks Teena85!)
I love the Jillian Michaels dvds - I tried "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism" for the first time yesterday... man... lol. I also like Exercise TV on Demand because I can try different workouts for free, and free is my favorite. With that, I would recommend "Pilates Fit" under the "Pilates" heading.
I get my workouts from bodyrock.tv. Very intense and with visible results! Plus: Zuzana, the instructor, has a body to die for (despite the fake boobs) and is a good inspiration.
I have a gym membership but find it hard to get my self motivated enough to go there when I'm short on time or just not really in the mood to work out to begin with. However I decided to purchase a few videos (Biggest Loser Cardio Max, JM 30 Day Shred, Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Lbs) as well as use the free videos on my cables On-Demand channel and it has really helped me stay motivated and on target for weightloss. I never would have guessed how much I enjoy exercise videos until I started giving them a try!
Same here JAnaCis...I love my P90x...I tell my self Tony will be here in 30 mins don't be late for your session with him & I feel like I've got my own personal trainer that comes to MY house! No excuses.
I do the P90X videos. They're great because it really mixes it up for me. It keeps working out from getting routine-ish. Plus, I don't have to pay for gas, workout clothes for the gym or a gym membership. Now there's no excuse about having to make that trip. You just gotta push play! Lol.
6 days a week, I do Insanity. And its the best workout DVD I own- totally trumps my gym membership.
How Often Do You Use Fitness DVDs?
Being as this week's challenge for the Get Fit For 2010 giveaway is to review your favorite workout DVD, I was wondering . . .
