How do you show your man you appreciate him?

I pose this question because the other day, my husband happily responded to me telling him how much I missed him during the day. It was something so simple to me, yet powerful in his eyes. It's amazing how there are things I do for him that I think he appreciates more than words. And when I say something meaningful about him, it totally makes his day. I guess I should stop cleaning his smelly gym clothes then right?!

I spend hours and hours hanging out with his boring friends. lol And he takes me to whatever restaurant I want for Vegetarian food. :)

I tell him. Also, I hug, touch and kiss on him. I also leave him little notes on work stuff. I figure I'll take advantage of working together & send him little love notes. I used to buy him things, but I finally realized he doesn't really care about that. He loves anything I cook, but I'm like Jenna I really can't cook..I can bake. :) Moto, :rotfl: I love your answer.

I try to thank him for the things that he does for me, our house, our lives, etc. Like when he washes the dishes after I've made dinner, I make sure he knows how much I appreciate that he does that stuff. I try to buy him little snacks or things that I know that he likes, buy him little things, and rub his back or something. And I make sure I tell him!

I usually tell my guy, I always tell him how much I miss him and how much I love him, I usually tell him the particular instances in my day when I thought of him and how much fun it would be if he was there (we are kind of long distance right now, 2 hours). Other than that I like to make him gifts. I usually don't buy him as much stuff because I feel like the cool things that can be made have a little more feeling and thought behind them and I don't always have a lot of money, (poor college kid, lol! :)). Like for valentines day I made a bunch of little "cards". I cut out small rectangular pieces of paper and glued different colored hearts on them. Each one said "I love you because..." and then had a different reason. I like doing fun crafty presents like that a lot. :-) Ohh and one time he asked me to send him some pictures of me and some of both of us so he could frame them and have one in his wallet, so I sent the pictures and on the back of each picture I wrote a cute message about what we were doing in the picture and why it was so fun and then wrote, to:(his pet name), from:(my pet name), I also sent a letter with those pictures just talking about how I missed him and how much I loved him etc., and then sprayed the letter with my perfume and put on a whole bunch of red lipstick and put a big kiss on the letter. That was a lot of fun to put together and I think he really appreciated it. :-)

I do a lot of things, but most often I make one of his favorites for dinner. I also verbally tell him and try and do thoughtful things for him.

defenitely tell, its easy, more personal and I fine the most meanignfull, I am not very materialistic a few words a bug hug and kiss followed by a big smilke and giggle does the trick every time!

I tell him and I show it to him all the time. We are very affectionate and we like to pamper each other and do things that we know the other likes and enjoys. _________________________ Don't worry 'bout a ting!

I tell him. I also cook his favorite meals regularly, always bring back something from the store, be it a new shirt, DVD or book he's been talking about, or even just some of the fruits he loves. He always says those little surprises make him feel extra loved and thought about. I also leave him cards with scratch off lottery cards in them and tuck them in places he'll find them as he goes through the day: Next to his coffee cup in the cabinet, in front of the half and half in the fridge, behind his cologne in the medicine cabinet, in his jacket pocket..that sort of thing.

All of the above! :-) Most of the times I tell him how much I missed him that day or I just call him at work to tell him that I love him, I buy his favorite things when he least expected ;-) or we just simply text each other cute things during the day too :evil: He loves all those things. _____________________________________________________________ Behind every great man, there's a woman rolling her eyes :oy:

Great poll! This should motivate me to be better at these things. To let him know I care, I share with him any day dreams I have about us or any memories I revisit throughout my day. He thinks its sweet that I think back on a special occasion or a fun trip we took during my day.

I do alot of little things for brandon...I buy him I love you cards or write him a love letter. While I am out I buy him a new shirt if I have some extra money and know he needs a new one. I wake up at 5 am (2 1/2 hours before I have to wake up) and make him breakfast, coffee and his lunch for the day. When he really wants to see a new movie I take him. I tell him everyday that I love him and that I was thinking about him that day...just a lot of little things. I am a mushy person in general and I tell people sentimental things and do sentimental things for ppl i love quite frequently. Great poll Doc!! :hug:

oh ruby, I still buy my husband cards out of the blue. I leave them on the kitchen table propped up and I write funny names on it like "Super-fly-hunny" or "Stud Muffin" :ROTFL:

Awww, you ladies are making me get all mushy-gushy about my hubby. I've discovered how important it is to a man to let him know how much you appreciate him. It keeps the passion strong! Sometimes life gets sooo busy that I can go for days without stopping to think about how I can encourage my husband. We're all a work in progress I guess :)
