Kinda dissapointed...

I am just kinda dissapointed right now... I have been off BC for a month and my period is "supposed" to start on this upcoming friday. I took a AHPT today (4 days early) and it said negative... I am just feeling like kind of a failure... anyone else feel like this after the first month passed? The hubs and I had sex at opportune times (and it was fun!!!) but I just kinda feel bad, like it's my fault? ok just thought I would blog and get it out of my system... there is always NEXT month, right????

Everyone here has already given you great advice and I agree with it all. I had a hard time getting pregnant, espically with my second. We tried for so long it seemed hopeless. I truely had given up and just thought I was broken. Wouldn't you know it, two months after I said no more trying, I found out I was expecting. That seems to be how it goes. I whole heartedly agree with ALSW. Enjoy your time with your husband now because life will never be the same again once you do have a baby, and I am sure you will in the near future. I'll be saying a prayer for you.

I agree with Lorelei - just have fun and don't think about it! Just enjoy having that time (and fun!) with your hubby and I'm sure it'll happen in good time. It doesn't usually happen right away! And it's nobody's fault. Just remember that this may be some of the last special, alone time you get with your hubby - enjoy it!

hahahaha, it is quite interesting, not being on BC has made me a lot more sexual... perhaps it was also him being gone for 15 months!!

My guy and I tried to have a baby for months and months a few years ago. No baby. So we just tabled it for a while, until I got my surprise last year. Sometimes I think the harder you try, the less likely it is going to happen. Try not to make having a baby the focus of your time with your husband. The baby will come when it's time. :)

A lot of women take awhile to get pregnant once off of the pill!! Be patient - it will come.

Do not worry! Only one third of all people who try actually get pregnant the first try. It'll happen. I know that it can be tough though.

Thanks girls-- I went into this thinking, "if it happens, so be it..." so when I took the test I was expecting it!!! Oh well... sometimes it takes more then one cycle right?

You're right but remember its not over until your period actually starts! You never know! If its stil negative however remember that its only the first month since you're off the pill it takes a little while sometimes for the effects of the pill to wear off. Best of luck to you!

I know how you feel. Me & hubby were doing it (trying) all the time where it was becoming more as a job and not fun with no success. Once we gave up and just let it be is when I got pregnant. Don't give up, it will happen sooner than you think. :hug:

y'all may be doin it too much Lauren! Let your mans soldiers gain strength for a few days and tell him to stay away from 'maggie and her 4 daughters' ahum...anyway...cause that would defeat the whole purpose of letting the soldiers do their thing.....then have sex 14 days after your period begins..that's usually when you ovulate., you'll know when your ovulating cause your feet might feel warm first then you'll have a low grade fever, very low. g'luck!
