Lucille Ball's Goulash Recipe

I found this recipe many years ago in an old cookbook featuring Celebrity dishes and tried it. It was really yummy !

2 lbs ground beef
2 large green peppers, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 bunches scallions, chopped
3 tbs butter or margerine
1 large can solid pack tomatoes
1/4 tbs salt and pepper
1/2 lb small egg noodles cooked and drained.

In a nice large deep pot.
Saute scallions, green peppers, garlic in butter. Add meat to brown.
Then add can of tomatoes, salt, peper.
Bring to a boil then cover, reduce heat to simmer about 1 hour. Check every so often and stir so it doesn't stick.
After it has been cooking for 30 minutes add the cooked noodles, mix it so the noodles are all covered, and continue cooking for 30 minutes more.
Complete cooking time is 1 hour.
