Makeup for the Ball! (With gratuitous black tie photos...)
I promised a while ago that, come time for my college ball, I'd do a post on the makeup for the evening, which turned out not to be as extravagant as it could have been, but... whatevs.
It was still pretty good, and it stayed on the entire night (6:30pm-3am), through a 4-course dinner and way, way too many drinks.
The Boys:

Total preparation time each, including shower: 20 minutes, maximum.
The Girls:

Total preparation time each, including shower: 4-6 hours. How is this fair?
(I'm the one in the massive brown ballgown in the middle, by the way...)
My makeup was fairly simple:
MAC Studio Fix Concealer SPF 35
Boots No.7 Translucent loose powder
Bobbi Brown Blush in Desert Rose
Urban Decay Brow Box in Brown Sugar
Urban Decay Big Fatty Mascara
Urban Decay Primer Potion, naturally!
MAC Shadows in Sumptuous Olive, Era, and Ricepaper
Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink (for tightlining and lower waterline)
Bobbi Brown Creamy Lipcolor in Bronzed Pink
Urban Decay Ultraglide in Video
Resulting in eyes that looked like this:

And, rather impressively, a face that at 2am still looked relatively presentable:

(Yeah, I know, my hair's gone spaz and I look like I've had a few too many of those Blue Heaven things... but the makeup's not too shabby, eh? That's like... four courses, several hours of dancing and drinking and some crepes and samosas after original application!)
The next college ball will be in 2010, so makeup planning for that shall commence imminently
