Minor Kitchen redo

I've been wanting to redo my kitchen pretty much since we moved in (a little over 3 years ago), other things have taken priority and it's always been put on the back burner.  Then I couldn't decide on a color.  I had tried something different a turquoise color that I loved but once it was on the wall (we only did a small section) we realized it just wouldn't work in this space.  So I went back to my original idea of brown.  Then today I found a great cabinet at Pier 1 Imports.  It was more than I wanted to spend but I just loved it.  I added a small ledge type shelf for my most used spices and installed that.  I do hope to replace the countertops soon - hopefully next year but we'll see how it goes.

After (taken in the daytime, this one shows the color really well):

After (taken in the evening, daughter is doing homework lol, and shows the new cabinet on the side too)

Indigo4320 thank you. They are actually part of our dining set. Our dining room table is a pub height table that came with 8 chairs. We only use 6 of them so I put the other 2 in the kitchen at the island. We got the dining table at RC Willey. We really love it, however, I don't know that I'll ever buy furniture from there again, we've had issues with everything we bought from them.

Thank you! Hihowareya, I was nervous about the brown, that might have been why I thought of other colors to try instead. But I'm so happy I went back to my original idea of the brown. I absolutely love it.

Thank you ladies. I look at the before picture and it's hard to imagine it like that. I used to feel so drab and unhappy when I would go into the kitchen. Not anymore!

I agree, Twinkle. It may seem minor, but it changes the whole feel of the room! I love it.
