So I know this isn't the best photo, I took it with my phone, but here is the tablescape from my half birthday dinner party last night. I did a Moroccan menu and had everyone sit on the floor around my coffee table.
Robert, it's definitely an understated look, and of course, there are plenty of more comfortable seating options : ) but I think it's impressive when people think out of the box like this. When I lived in a studio, I never once had a dinner party!
Wow -- a tapestry bought from a store on Haight St., tea lights and ten people crowded around a coffee table!
I can't believe how creative this was! I bet "cozy" didn't even begin to describe how comfortable everyone was during the meal.
