Have any of you tried one of the new smoothing kits? I tried the Garnier today. It took me quite a while because I usually just wash and don't do much to my hair.I didn't want to relax it so I used a smoothing kit for the first time. I liked it. After following directions and putting on the serum and smoothing cream, I used my new blow dryer with the pic to dry and finish straightening it.iI confess afterwards I used my own styling tricks like using the curling iron on parts of it and molding cream on the sides. I find I can wear it straight or curly if I want to. If you want to keep your curls or wavy just don't use a hair tool like a blow dryer. It'll just make your natural curls or waves a little less frizzy and smoother.
Hello natural beauties,
I've been natual for two years now, and I choose to wear my hair smooth and sleek--so it still looks relaxed. I've been battling humidity and have tried everything from coconut oil to Apex pressing oil (don't like the mineral oil or petroleum though). I'm looking for a product that I can either spray or apply to my hair before it is blown dry or set, prior to my blowout or flat iron. The trick is, I like my hair to move, so I don't want anything that will weigh it down. I prefere a spray or light leave-in moisturizer. I also don't want any sulfates, parabens, or other toxic stuff in my hair. Does anyone have any recommended products to block the humidity? Also, I workout three times per week, so can anyone recommend how I can keep my roots smooth so I don't have to keep straightening them? The answer could lie in whatever products you recommend for me, so I'll await your response.
Hi friends!! I used to relax my hair since I was 14 (28 now) and one day, in my graduation of cometologyst, I just get tired of that and decided to be just as god make me; a beautifull latina with curly hair!!!!!
Okay my sweet curly sisters...try this...Olive Oil Replenishing Pak...they also sell bottles of this great stuff... Mix: Olive Oil, Jojoba Oil and Avocado Oil... Then, with dry hair...start messaging the mix throughout your hair...I mean soak the entire hair...don't be stingy...is really important that you get the entire head.

All the research I had done during my year of transitioning introduced me to a world of terms & acronyms that I had never heard before: TWA, Cowash, BAA, and more. One of my newly learned terms... Prepoo. A prepoo is basically a deep conditioning treatment applied to hair before washing with either shampoo or conditioner. So if that's the case, why am I titling this post "Prepoo Vs. Deep Conditioner?"
I used to get perms often and add all types of weaves and extensions in my hair but now i wear protective styles only and perm my hair once a year.
