Ooey gooey yummy brownies

I saw Paula Dean make these this morning, and I knew it was just for me!

all you need is

1 box of brownie mix (and ingredients it calls for on box)

6 candy bars of your choice I used Hersey's with almonds

Prepare brownie mix as box says. Pour half into a 9x13 baking dish lined with aluminium foil. Set your candy bars on top of the mixture, and pour the other half over top of the candy bars.

Spread the brownie mix evenly.

Bake 28-30 minutes at 350*.

Serve with some ice cream, and chow down!

PinkTulip--I usually buy a large 13X9 family size and then a smaller one so I'm sure I'll have enough to cover the top. And be aware that you'll have to cook it longer than the box suggests because it's so thick. So wanted to share my experince, I've made these a LOT! In face I'm making them again this weekend for a family function.

I can't wait to make these, I am just concerned i wont have enought batter left to top the second half...but if you just used a store bought mix i should be ok.

*Update* I made these with the caramel bars and sent them to work with my husband...Those truckers were on those brownies like a pack of very hungry animals!:) The secretary and dispatcher have put in their orders for brownies "just for us girls". There are some Andes candy chunks in the deep freeze that I bought in a moment of weakness; looks like I'll use those and dribble some creme de menthe over the brownies.

I wonder if you could use reeses or snickers? What kind of candy bar did Paula use?
