When I was in college some of my favorite things about being a fashion major was getting to play with different textures and mixing colors. In my aesthetics and textile classes I learned fashion rules that I still refer to everyday! In school, I always had a color wheel tucked into my notebook to help on various projects. Nowadays, I've got the wheel completely memorized, which is extremely helpful, especially when I'm at the mall trying to quickly pull together an outfit for an upcoming event.
Above I paired some of my favorite harmonizing colors for an aesthetically pleasing ensemble. You could also achieve this look by combining your favorite yellow, orange and red pieces. Since this summer is all about color, color and more color teaching yourself how to mix and match your favorite hues is a sure fire way to help you strut through the season with fabulously bright ensembles. Fash Tip: Try placing a color wheel in your closet so you can refer to it when putting together your outfits. This will help inspire creative color combination that you may not have previously thought of!
