Preteen Girl's Bedroom Makeover under $350
One of mt "Elegant Folly" styling/decorating projects for the summer was Izzy's bedroom makeover. The challenge here was to create a functional space that's appealing to a preteen while having the flexibility to transition to a teen girl's room while staying under the budget of $500. Photos used in the frames were from Izzy's recent travel to Europe. It adds a personal touch and is definitely an inspiration for this young world traveler. It also showcases her passion for photography.
Vintage-inspired drawer was a DIY project. We used paint samples on the drawers to tie in with the room's color scheme. We love re-using old furniture and giving it new life!
I also found this comforter set a discount store that perfectly balanced the "girly" floral prints and grey/white strips with metal frames.
