Shoes without HEELS

A new trend is starting to emerge here and it's a rather worrying one. Shoes without heels - or, at least, without heels in the places we'd normally expect to see them. The ones in the picture above, though, spotted on the Antonio Berardi catwalk at Paris Fashion Week, have no support. Instead, the wearer is expected to balance on the ball of the foot - and on top of a chunky platform! Well, I guess it'll do wonders for your balance, but maybe not quite as much for your posture or safety - what do you think?

i wonder how diff it would be from wearing stillettos, though, since you have to walk on your toes for them anyway. still not aesthetically pleasing without a heel...just weird

Those are scary...no way would I even attempt to wear those. Fashion is sometimes so over the top and ridiculous.

I have enough problems walking in reg. pumps. Each purchase should also provide a free trip to the podiatrist.
