Swedish Christmas Ham

1 pre-cooked ham
1 egg yolk
3/4 cup whole-seed sweet mustard
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/2 cup crushed gingersnap cookies
This is how you do it

Mix the egg yolk and mustard in a bowl and spread the mixture evenly over the ham. Sprinkle with the bread crumbs and crushed gingersnaps.

Heat the oven to 475 F (250 C) or make it golden brown with a kitchen blowtorch. (The breadcrumbs should become golden brown.) If you use the oven, 5 to 10 minutes should be enough.

Serve the ham at room temperature with sautéed cabbage and mustard.

My ham is FANTASTIC. Here's my recipe: Call Honey Baked Hams at least two weeks in advance. Make the hubbin go pick it up the day before because the line is killer. Voila!

Sounds great, I will probably try this on Thanksgiving. My ham always taste dry, my friend pours a Coke on hers and I was thinking of trying that too. Hm. Maybe 2 hams this year. lol

Hah, I made it! Twink this sounds really good. We have ham every Christmas instead of Turkey ( which seems to be more popular in the States at least :? ) so I'll keep this recipe.. I've never heard of ginger snaps on ham either but it sounds really yummy!
