My nephew is completely obessed with teepees and has a giant one in the backyard where he will play for hours. So when it came time for his birthday, my sister in  law had a great idea to create teeppee cupcakes for his birthday! Using a muffin pan to keep the ice cream cones upright, she filled each one with cake batter. Once cooled, she dipped both sides in chocolate and sprinkles. On the shorter end of the cone, she used pretzels sticks to create posts that would keep the teepee up right. My nephew was so excited to chow down on his very own teepee.

im wanting too make these for my sons birthday! do i pour the batter in and cook the cake mix normal time as directed or does it take extra time since it has the cone around it?!

Try using a bread knife or serrated knife to cut the tips, I use it on big crackers all the time. There will be some crumbs but the cut is pretty clean! Good luck making them for you daughter!

I love these and want to make them for my daughter. Any advice on how to remove the bottom without breaking the cone?
