Venefood before some vino
Let me share our (my boyfriend & I) wine tasting day trip to Napa tradition.. We love to make a pit stop at the Oxbow Public Market in Napa for a bite to eat at this yummylicious Maize kitchen spot. Pika Pika ( http://www.yelp.com/biz/pica-pica-maize-kitchen-napa-2 ) offers authentic Venezuelan food. The Arepa [ah-RAY-pah -pictured above] with similar appearance to a Mexican taco, is nothing like the California loved Mexican finger food dish. These small -delicious- suckers are very tasty and very very filling. I would say one is more than enough for a person. The Arepa I had was the Catira, which is chicken with guisa base sauce and gouda cheese. We also had some fried plantains and fried yucca. This is always perfect meal to fill our bellies before hitting the road for a long fun day of wine tasting in the Napa Valley. If you go to Napa, make sure that you try this spot! .. Not heading to Napa anytime soon? Then you can try their restaurant located i the city on the Mission/Valencia St. area! Buen Provecho!
