What's best for my two cats with kids and moving overseas?
Hi, I appreciate any suggestions...I have had my two cats (brother and sister) for four years. The first problem we encountered was my husband and i moving in together when they were a few months old, and the boy cat is still agressive towards him sometimes. Since then we have moved again (military) and have a one year old daughter. My girl cat was screwed up after the move and neither one will let the baby come within a foot of them on most days. I can tell that the boy cat is not getting the attention he needs and seems obsessed with me. He still gets angry with my husband, seems to go through phases like his throwing up. The vet says nothing is wrong with him, so I really think he makes himself sick out of desperation and/or anger. My girl cat has pretty much returned to her ditzy and carefree self. She gets attacked by the boy cat quite a bit but seems to bounce back fine. With all this, the big decision is whether we should keep them or not because baby #2 is coming in a month, and we have to move to Hawaii in May. Baby #2 is a boy, and my boy cat obviously has problems with other males (my husband). So, considering that I don't have the time for the attention they need and deserve, how much the moves drive them crazy, and how anti-social they are with our daughter, what am I to do? Surrender them? Thanks!
