What should we name our pug?

Howdy everyone! We adopted a pug over the weekend! We have been calling him Peanut because we can't decide on his name. (My husband calls anything that is little and cute "Peanut". Thats his pet name for everything!) He really loves that name, but I'm not so sure. I find myself calling him Pea Pea & Peenie too! I used to have a pug named Dewey & I've accidentally called him that a couple of times as well...

I recently adopted a pug from my local rescue and she happened to be a girl so I named her Chloe. BUT...if I adopted a boy pug...he would have been an Oliver! So of course I voted for that. Congrats!!! They really are the best!

I voted for "Peanut" but I also think "Bonsai" and "Buddha" are great choices for a male name. You have a really good looking boy there... enjoy him! My little girl Pug rocks my world! They are such sweet and lovable babies. :)

I think 'DOG' is a good name. But I went for Rocco cos my bro's dogs name is Rocca.

I think you should name him "Martini"...small but strong!!!! His nicknames could be "Tini" or "Marti". "Tini" would tie into the cute and little thing.....I just think he's adorable no matter what you name him!! Congrats on the new family member!!!!

My Italian Greyhound's name is Vinny, but I call him Buddha all the time for some reason. He's my little Buddha.

Congrats on being a pug owner! I have two at home- Miles and Mona. I am a huge SNL fan though so I really like "Mr. Bo Jangles" too! Have fun they are the best!

How cute! I voted Oliver! I have an almost 4 month old Pug named Rocco! He's an avatar pick <---------------- That's so funny that you started a poll, cause I did that too! Bailey was the name that won, but we named him Rocco ( a little less of a vote getter) because it was a name my bf and I could both agree on.

Yay! Welcome to the Pug world.. you're going to fall in love (if you aren't already!!) I have a 1.5 yr old little black girl pug named Harlow. She's such a cutie. I voted Peanut, its cute.. I always said that if I got a boy, his name would be Bogart, it's only fitting since I already have a Harlow! Also like the name Salem. Good luck!!

Oh my god! I love Martini! Then I can call him Tini... :crossfingers: I wonder if the hub will like it? AND- I love Milo & Otis too...(I did name our orange & white kitty Milo, but I actually forgot about Milo & Otis)

Candy, if you already have a pet named Milo (is he by chance a little orange kitty?), you could name your Pug... Otis! Then they'd be Milo and Otis, after one of the greatest (and cutest!) animal movies of all time. :-)
