Okay I haven't been uploading recipes for some time, sorry. Life got busy. Here's one that J loves. I've also been creating an electronic version of all my favourite recipes, check it out if you have a chance. (It has some I've featured here).

Wholesome Energy Balls

Wholesome Energy Balls


1/4 cup finely grated carrots
1/4 cup rolled oats or Granola*
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1 Tablespoon honey
3 Tablespoons peanut butter


Mix and roll into balls. *Granola makes these Energy Balls more tasty and adds a nice crunch.

Could be possible, but these aren't cooked and so I guess I'd go with a mild squash if subbing.

I wonder if I could sub a different veggie for the carrots. Maybe a squash?
