this is my favorite meatloaf. it is easy and classic! off the back of lipton's beefy onion soup mix box! goes great with some classic sides like green beans and mashed potatoes! don’t overcook it because it gets too tough.

Information

Ingredients

1 envelope Lipton’s beefy onion soup mix
2 pounds ground beef
3/4 C bread crumbs
2 eggs
1/3 C ketchup
3/4 C water

Directions

Combine all ingredients in large bowl. In a large casserole dish shape into a loaf and bake at 350 for about one hour.

OH and Jen has a great hamburger recipe too that uses Lipton onion soup. It is her Hamburger76 recipe.

I'm going to try this. I have a meatloaf recipe from my grandmother that's really good, but more complicated with lots of stuff to chop, so sometimes I don't like to take the time to do it. This looks like a great, quicker alternative. Thanks! :)

i have also used saltines crumbled up when i have run out of breadcrumbs. this is such a simple recipe that actually works.

This is similar to my version of meatloaf, but I add a coup of Italian cheese and use 1 1/2 cups of ground Saltines instead of breadcrumbs. It's always a huge hit. It's so easy, I love it!

this is how i ALWAYS make meatloaf. this is the only way the boys will eat it. and they gobble it up. liptons beef onion packets are great for using in crockpot pot roast too (thanks jennifer76) :medal:

Last time I made meatloaf, my husband told me he had never liked it. :oy: Oh well. So I haven't wasted my time trying it again. I haven't had meatloaf in soooo long. Now suddenly I'm craving a meatloaf sandwich. Mmmmmm.
