For all of you future published authors out there!

So I have literally hit the writer's block this year and havent been able to sit down and write a solid story in months. My friend who is also a writer and future published author (fingers crossed) told me about www.nanowrimo.org which is awesome! It is giving me the push I need to get back to writing and for fun! It's motto is like quantity over quality. No spell checks or editing, just write to see if you can write 50,000 words in a month. Are you up for the challenge?

I did that 6 or 7 years ago with a few friends. I never did finish my "novel" but I still have the outline and character studies I did. It was fun and there are blogs and local group meetings to keep you going. Someday maybe I'll finish it.

Oh man, I've gotten into such a routine of writing academically --- I'm a Literature major --- so any other recreational writing has gone down the drain. This might be fun! There's also National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo) but I can barely keep tabs on my weekday postings as is, let alone weekend posts!
