i agree with what seems to be the common thread... a great beat! fast enough to make me want to kick it up a notch... overpowering enough so that i can lose myself in it... rap/rock/metal/alternative/pop, it depends on my mood... but its always gotta get me moving a lil faster (yes, yes, yes... i notice the looks as im rollin my hips n shakin my azz... then i close my eyes n lose myself in the tunes again, lol)
That really depends. On a regular day, I would listen to metal and rock while lounging, but when I exercise, I like pop like Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake, etc. It just gets me going better than metal does.
I exercise to rock and metal: W.A.S.P., Motörhead, The Cult, D.A.D, Hanoi Rocks, Mötley Crüe, Misfits, Ramones, In Flames, Kreator, Rammstein, etc. There's some jazz, Depeche Mode, Lauren Christy and Mylene Farmer too on my mp3player, but 90% of my playlist is rock or metal.
I exercise to metal. The loudness of the music and the hard rhythms and beats seem to send a fresh burst of energy through me. Every night I run for half an hour and if Ozzy Osbourne's voice singing "Crazy Train" or "I Don't Know" isn't booming through my bedroom and vibrating off the walls I won't complete the full thirty minutes. I'll get tired.

Fantasy is simply a better reality.
it totally depends on my mood. Sometimes I feel like rocking it out. Others I play some Dominican meringue. It must be upbeat though.
