When I'm not going anywhere or don't feel like much makeup I use this simple routineCleanse my face. Usually I use a cleanse by Murad. Occasionally I switch to a facial bar like Clinque or Sometimes Caress when I want a creamy feeling.Brush my teeth.Apply a moisturizer. I use Clean & Clear.Next eyecream, a gel by Avon then a concealer around the eyes. I use a concealer in a tube by Stila.I stroke my eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil velvet black by Mabelline.Next my lipstick and I pat on my foundation. There was one time when I only used an oil free makeup but as I got older I found that the moisturizing foundations were fine for me.Sometimes I just put a little blush on without the foundation and I'm ready to go.
This is a site I refer to often. Today I got some good tips from it including nail polish. I've tried blue and green and wear it when I feel down. I also like Pantene gel. I haven't been really doing much for myself what with wrapping gifts and shopping. I think I'll try a beauty day tomorrow for myself.,
Stila has a special sale on cosmetics that's really great. Some of the favorites are less than half the regular price. I don't get all of their cosmetics but find that if some work for you keep them on your favorite list.My regular buys are:The concealer in the tube. It's so smooth and creamy and doesn't show. I use that without foundation sometimes and under my foundationA must is their tinted all over color blushes. I love the pink color and the bronze. Of course when I use the bronze I just use a little or I become like a clown.I also like their photo foundation. I often get that in a kit and get all those other goodies in the kit. It saves money,If you can get samples before you buy I recommend that you do that.
Have any of you tried one of the new smoothing kits? I tried the Garnier today. It took me quite a while because I usually just wash and don't do much to my hair.I didn't want to relax it so I used a smoothing kit for the first time. I liked it. After following directions and putting on the serum and smoothing cream, I used my new blow dryer with the pic to dry and finish straightening it.iI confess afterwards I used my own styling tricks like using the curling iron on parts of it and molding cream on the sides. I find I can wear it straight or curly if I want to. If you want to keep your curls or wavy just don't use a hair tool like a blow dryer. It'll just make your natural curls or waves a little less frizzy and smoother.
I recently stopped in a drugstore and looked at the foundation. I decided to go back to buying like I used to. I bought two bottles of the same brand foundation and type. However one darker shade and one lighter shade. My complexion is olive so I can wear different shades usually I buy a light beige. However I use a darker shade sometimes for a bronze look.
I often get the box of total Beauty Collection samples. I like that I get to try new cosmetics out and decide if I like them enough to buy them. Also the box is only $15.00 and you don't have to get one everytime. There are some out there that are much more expensive and I understand you have to sign up to get them every month.
